Tai Chi Online Video Tutorial Courses

Our pre-recorded online video tutorials are mainly designed for students who cannot attend classes on a regular basis and wish to study Tai Chi in their own home. However we have found that they are also extremely helpful for students who are attending our normal classes on a regular basis and who wish to practice between classes. The Tai Chi form is split into manageable sections that can be easily learnt over one month. The student can choose to continue with a particular section or move on to the next section at the beginning of each calendar month.

We offer:

Beginners level : You can choose either the Yang style or Chen Style short form to begin with:

  • A) Yang short form is an accessible introduction to the techniques and movements of classical Tai Chi. It is our school's signature form, often used for competitions and displays (note that this is not the Beijing simplified 24 step; it is derived from Traditional Yang Style 85 movement long form)
  • B) Chen style 19 movement form

Intermediate level :

  • Chen style 38 movement form

For people with less mobility

:
  • Chair-based Tai Chi/Chi Kung exercise

Just to make it clear how access to the online lessons works:

You will be given a link and password to access the step-by-step instructional videos (which include both Front view and Back views), by Master Kam Lau. In these videos, the forms have been broken down into a number of sections, so that each section would take the average person at least a month to learn.

Every posture within the section is explained step-by-step, together with an overview demonstration of the entire form from the very beginning to that point.

Also included in your video is access to lessons featuring the class warm up routine and the gentle cool down sequence.

Please note: Every month, you will be sent a new password, valid for the upcoming period. The password will expire at noon on the last day of the calendar month.

Unlimited viewing time: You are free to view as often as you wish during the course of the month, on any days you choose. It is up to you how often you feel able to study.

If you join in the middle of a month, a full month’s payment is still due, and your access lasts until the end of that calendar month. Please be aware that your password will expire at noon on the last day of that calendar month.

This helps to keep administration simple, which in turn means we can keep your costs down.

At the end of the month, you can renew your subscription, choosing either to continue working on the same section, or move onto the next section of the form with your next monthly payment.

Payments are due on the 1st of each calendar month. It is advisable that your payment reaches us on or before the 1st to avoid delay.
