The Kam Lau School of Tai Chi Chuan prides itself in its high quality traditional teaching methods. Beginners find the step by step instructions relatively easy to follow and find our instructors very patient and approachable. Our classes are suitable for people of all ages and fitness as well as for beginner, intermediate and advanced students.

Choosing a School

The Kam Lau School of Tai Chi Chuan is a member of The Tai Chi Union of Great Britain (TCUGB) and British Council for Chinese Martial Arts (BCCMA). For peace of mind, we would strongly recommend choosing a school who are registered with the TCUGB or BCCMA.

The TCUGB grade all Tai Chi instructors by their 4 levels of instructorship within the TCUGB structure. The four grades are:

  • S grade: Senior instructors (highest grade)
  • A grade: Advanced instructors
  • I grade: Intermediate instructors
  • B grade: Basic instructors

Master Kam Lau is recognised by the TCUGB as a S grade instructor.

The BCCMA are the sports governing body and the only organisation recognised by the Sports Council in the United Kingdom.
