Sunday Spring Workshop Program

We are pleased to announce that the next Sunday workshop will be held on Sunday 9th May 2010,

Workshop 1:
Xinjia Yi-Lu. Chen Style New Frame Form.Chi-Kung-3

Grandmaster Chen’s Grandfather Chen Fa-Ke created the “New Frame”
Tai Chi form in the early 19 century.
The main character of this form is to apply the spiral technique to the movements assisted by the explosive fa-jing (discharge of power)
making this form lively and enjoyable to practise.

Beginners are welcome and will begin from the first movement.
Intermediates will continue on to the next part of the form.
A chance to learn a beautiful Chen Family Form


Workshop 2:

Chen Jian (Straight Sword).
Chen Jian is one of the short weapons of Taijiquan. The Chen Jian is said to be like a flowing dragon.

This workshop is open to all students.
New students will start at the very first move and work through the first part.
Students who have completed the 2nd part will complete the whole form.

The above classes are open to all, beginners welcome.

 



This is a great opportunity to receive expert instruction from Master Lau, 12th generation Chen Style Taiji Master and one of the top disciples of Grandmaster Chen Xiao Wang, a leading exponent of Chen Style Taijiquan in the U.K. and Europe.

Xinjia Yi-Lu Taijiquan workshops are suitable for both beginners and experienced students.
No prior experience is needed. We also warmly welcome members and instructors of other martial arts schools who may wish to experience the difference that Chen Style Taiji has to offer.

The relaxed and professional teaching method of Master Kam Lau will suit both beginners and experienced students alike,
the essence is to provide a sound base from which your Taiji can develop.

Booking is essential for workshops as places are limited. Payment on the door (unless pre booked) £5 extra per session.
